Hey guys in this article, I'll be talking about 10 things a beginner should know about Fortnite. Fortnite is a game.
tip # 1 - There are four major mechanics
you need to learn about the game These include aiming which is the ability to shoot your weapons accurately building which is the ability to use materials to change your terrain to better accommodate you in fights editing
which is the ability to edit built terrain to accommodate you in fights and game-sense which is the ability to use logic and reason to understand different aspects of the game.
For example, the ability to travel properly while avoiding all fights or the ability to travel in order to find more fights.
tip # 2 - Always know your weapons
Weapons can be divided into rarity and the distance they are most effective at There are different weapons for different distances in fortnite Snipers or crossbows.
Which are used in long ranged fights Assault rifles
Which are used in medium ranged fights Shotguns smgs and pistols which are used in short ranged fights Each weapon can also be divided according to five rarities.
For example a pump shotgun is available in Common which is grey Uncommon which is green Rare which is blue Epic which is purple and legendary which is orange For example, a legendary pump is way better than a common pump. It's always better to know which weapons are available to use in which distances.
It's always level best to carry a short ranged, medium ranged and long ranged weapon in the same inventory.
tip # 3 - have proper keybinds
I've seen most players do the mistake of not having proper keybinds before they start playing seriously in fortnite. In my honest opinion, This is mainly for PC players but make sure that one finger does a maximum of two actions when playing fortnite. Console players can obviously use combat or builder pro depending on what they like.
tip #4 - Choose your playstyle you don't always have to fight 10 players to get to the top in fortnite.
I mean it's fun but you could also have a passive playstyle. You can hide , wait until everyone else fights and get the last kill. Even though this seems like a lack of display of skill. competitive players use a passive playstyle to get more placement points. I myself, struggle playing passively sometimes. but I'm working on it :)
tip #5 - Have the perfect landing spot Landing spots have never been more important in season 6. a lot of your best loot depends on your landing spot but trust me, whether you see this video in a year, or two. having a consistent landing spot will always be key. knowing the ins and outs, the strengths and the loot available in your landing spot can give you a major edge against other players. For example, this is my landing spot. It has fishing spots, an NPC that allows you to upgrade weapons, a lot of chests including a bunker chest, and mechanical parts that will for sure help you craft that epic pump shotgun. Since I know something about this landing spot that most players don't, I have an advantage. You should find a landing spot and do the same!
tip # 6 - game-sense is underrated I've seen most players do the fastest and sickest edits and they never miss but when they play a tournament, they die off spawn. I'm one of these players and this is the reason why it happens is because I don't have game sense. Game sense is experience. It's the unconscious ability to know about the game with logics and reasoning. For example , game-sense tells you when to start fighting and when to stop. Game-sense tells you where to travel and how to travel in order to avoid or start more fights. Game-sense is just better decision making and in order to learn game-sense play the game, analyze better players and understand and fix your mistakes. Trust me, learning game-sense will help you in the long run.
tip # 7 - The next point is quite obvious, but learn from your mistakes! I feel like this applies to every video game out there but you can improve a lot faster if you learn from your mistakes. Why did I die there? how could I have killed this person by taking less damage? Always learn from your mistakes. Trust me.
tip # 8 - Creative is the best practice ground The creative game-mode is a perfect place to practice your mechanics. I will put down three creative map codes for you to try to practice Trust me, it helps!
tip #9 - Pre-firing is always the best way to start a fight Pre-firing is the process of shooting someone before they see or shoot you. This will give you a huge advantage over your fights and will also scare your opponent and mess up their mindset. So trust me, always find a way to get as much damage off your opponent before you even start the fight.
tip #10 - Always learn to predict your opponent This is self-explanatory but always have a hunch about what your opponent is thinking in the back of your head. it will help alot. trust.
